Link building services that earn links worth having

Link building services acquire external links to your website from other domains, in order to build the authority that determines how well your pages can compete in search. We build links through digital PR, original research, resource placement, and relationship-driven outreach. We do not use private blog networks, paid link marketplaces, or guest post farms, and we will explain exactly why when you ask.

Two things are true about link building at the same time, and most agencies will only tell you one of them. Links remain one of the strongest signals in search, and the gap between you and the competitor above you is very often a link gap rather than a content gap. And most link building sold today is worthless or actively harmful.

Definition

What is link building?

Link building is the practice of acquiring hyperlinks from other websites to your own, so that search engines interpret your site as more authoritative and rank its pages more competitively. A link functions as a signal of endorsement: when a credible site references yours, some measure of that credibility transfers. Not all links carry the same value, and the differences are large.

Factor What increases value What decreases it

The practical summary: one link from a genuine industry publication is worth more than a hundred from a network, and the hundred carry risk the one does not.

Set each factor and watch the verdict move. Two of these switches do not lower the value of the link — they make it a liability, and the verdict says so.

This is a teaching model of the factors, not a metric you will find in a tool. Nobody outside Google has the real weights, and anyone claiming a precise link score has invented it.

Practice Why we decline
{{ r.row }} {{ r.why }}
One honest complication

Some link buying goes undetected for a long time and appears to work. We are not claiming it never produces results. We are saying the downside is total and arrives without warning, the recovery is slow, and it puts your business on a foundation that can be removed by a single algorithm update. That is a risk profile we will not take on for a client.

If you are already buying links

We can audit what you have and advise on it. That is a different engagement, called remediation, and we will be candid about the risk you are carrying rather than quietly building on top of it.

Pricing

How we price, and why not per link

Most link building is sold per link. We do not sell it that way, and the reason is worth understanding before you compare quotes. Per-link pricing creates an incentive to buy rather than earn, because earned links are unpredictable in timing and count while bought links are reliably deliverable. A vendor committing to twenty links a month is committing to a volume that editorial outreach cannot guarantee, which means they are almost certainly purchasing placements. The pricing model itself tells you what the delivery model must be.

Get this scoped properly

An estimate, not a quote. Fixed price follows a scoping call, and where requirements are genuinely uncertain we scope a paid discovery first.

Cold outreach to a journalist who has never heard of you converts poorly. The same pitch to someone you have given a useful quote to twice converts well. That compounding is why link building rewards continuity and punishes stop-start engagements.

Specialist vs link marketplace vs in-house vs full-service

Led by Ganesh Shanmugam — see client results.

Specialist Link marketplace In-house Full-service agency
{{ c.row }} {{ c.a }} {{ c.b }} {{ c.c }} {{ c.d }}

The uncomfortable detail about marketplaces: they are cheaper per link because the links are worth less. You are not getting a discount on the same product. You are buying a different product that resembles it in a spreadsheet.

Worth checking with any incumbent: ask to see the last twenty links they built, then look at the sites. If most host guest posts across unrelated industries, have no discernible audience, and have an outbound link pattern spanning gambling, crypto, and home improvement, you have your answer.

Sectors

Timelines

How long does link building take to work?

Reclamation is fastest. Authority change is slowest by a wide margin.

{{ t.fix }} {{ t.time }}

Two realities worth setting expectations on. Links take time to affect rankings after acquisition, so the lag between spend and result is longer than in any other SEO discipline. And placement rates improve as relationships develop, so the second six months of an engagement typically outperforms the first.

Be wary of any agency whose reporting is a tool dashboard with their logo on it. Tools measure; they do not decide what matters, and every one of these will happily generate a hundred findings that change nothing. What you are paying for is the judgement about which three of those hundred are worth your developers’ time.

Adjacent question

Links contribute to the authority that makes your pages retrievable as AI sources, but unlinked brand mentions and comparison content carry weight there that links alone do not. That side of it belongs to answer engine optimisation. Digital PR happens to serve both well.
